    I’am surprised to notice you guys seemed to have traveled on bike in Tibet without an escort (guide and 4WD). I’am planning a biking trip with my partner from Lhasa to Kathmandu but it seems that nobody is allowed to travel in Tibet alone (which means; people are obliged to book grouptour or at least a guide with Jeep at a travelagency). Are the permit-rules changed or did you just manage to slip into and out of the country unattended?
