When officials asked for the Welsh translation of a road sign, they thought the reply was what they needed.

Unfortunately, the e-mail response to Swansea council said in Welsh: “I am not in the office at the moment. Please send any work to be translated”.

So that was what went up under the English version which barred lorries from a road near a supermarket.

Oh well … c’mon .. give them a breake :-) .. poor English don’t speak any language … sometimes not even … english :-)

And one more :

The blunder is not the only time Welsh has been translated incorrectly or put in the wrong place:

• Cyclists between Cardiff and Penarth in 2006 were left confused by a bilingual road sign telling them they had problems with an “inflamed bladder”.

• In the same year, a sign for pedestrians in Cardiff reading ‘Look Right’ in English read ‘Look Left’ in Welsh.

• In 2006, a shared-faith school in Wrexham removed a sign which translated the Welsh for staff as “wooden stave”.

• Football fans at a FA Cup tie between Oldham and Chasetown – two English teams – in 2005 were left scratching their heads after a Welsh-language hoarding was put up along the pitch. It should have gone to a match in Merthyr Tydfil.

• People living near an Aberdeenshire building site in 2006 were mystified when a sign apologising for the inconvenience was written in Welsh as well as English.

No need to say much, just:

The family of Richard Wright, founder member of Pink Floyd, announce with great sadness, that Richard died today after a short struggle with cancer.

The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.

Ok .. to be honest .. we keep much more focus onthe polish web-post-travel-etc-blog then here. And I have no answer for any “whay is that?” :-) Just .. you know … 1.000.000s of reasons.. and even 1 is a good enough :)
So .. ok .. that’s it … I’m starting a new job, in a new school where everything and everyone is new :-) So .. looks like I’ll have a lot of reasons for a funny stories .. more pictures etc. .. no more bad (or any) excuses :-)

Ark Academy
The school I’m “working” in .. still doesn’t really exist due …. (non Ark) teachers protests,

and people who hates my new Boss :-) Oh well .. they’ve stopped the construction long enough to … keep the kids at home for the whole September :/ well .. yeah .. all for a better education in Wembley right :/
No one is cutting the trees (they said “we” will)
and once again …. the teachers were all against a new school in the area ! .. yes . the teachers !

And … the play/football ground willbe open to the public (they said it won’t) .. Oh well …  :) .. The Protesters said:

Other Academy’s have designed the education program to suit their corporate interests, training children for jobs, not educating them, cutting out activities like art, music and other creative outlets.

The funny thing is .. we have almost 4 hours a week of art and music :)
They say Wembley doesn’t need another school … but we have 60 kids already and another 15 another waiting list :/
So … what is it all about ?????
I don’t know and I don’t want to know :-)
