bikes and all that gear …. but well .. to be honest – it’s not easy for us to write about the equipment. The equipment doesn’t do the trip – it only helps and it’s all in your mind and attitude. I know what I’m talking about because I used to travel with a very basic equipment and very basic budget 
. But anyway ….

Bikes: nothing fancy. Just “self built” bikes based on second hand CR-MO frames, SRAM [Robb] and Shimano [Ania] gears, Schawalbe Marathon XR tires, SPD pedals, and Ortlieb [Robb] and Vaude [Ania] paniers. Robs paniers are 7 years old and needed some upgrade but he loves them so it wasn’t an issue to buy new ones . Ania’s gear is new. Each bike cost us about 500 U$D and some work.
